September is now here, and most of the housewives breath a sigh of relief that the kids are out of their hair for at least a couple of hours per day. Then again they are the ones that have that slight sick feeeling upon finding that their children are now old enough to go off to school some for the first time and others finding out how old they are as their babies are now High School Students. With the advent of the cool and cold weather to come from now on in I stop to think of Marge Long twhom I envy very much living in Sunny Hawaii. How is the weather down there Marge? Sorry that I did not answer your letter as yet but you will be getting it shortly. A lots of luck to Robert Habetler as I hear that 'he is noA in the Armed Forces of the United States. The house must be pretty epipty for Lou and Ann, with no one to keep them on their toes. I hear that the stork has made several visits to the younger members of Branch 15 as Ernie and Marion Stefely were blessed with a new arrival, as were the Ray Balog’s who were blessed with a Daughter, Karen Marie. I also understand that Mr. and Mrs. Steven Mate are now proud parents of a boy whom they have named Steven Howard and it is an appropriate name as he was born on Saturday August 17, St. Stephens Day; Rose and John Schubai are again grand parents. I also hear that finally the Ernie Tallian’s made the grade on August 5th as they had a Daughter presented to them named Cynthia Mary; I hope that Ernie did not have too hard a time. Congratulations to Charlie Stuparits and his wife Mary who became Grandparents when the Willie Stuparits’ became parents of a bouncing baby boy. So Charlie Jr. is now a Hunkel. Irene Bayer of Downers Grove has left the ranks of Bachelorettes as she has become Mrs. Ray Kaufman. Congratulations to Ernie Juhasz who has gone into business for himself recently as a Mason and Tuck Pointer, known as Erne’s Tuckpointing Service. With regret I have to report that the following members passed away in the last couple of months. Mr. John Chuhak, who most of us do not know very well. Mr. Jos. Bayer of Downers Grove*also left. Mr. Joseph Schleis, the father of Mary Whited also passed away recently. The entire branch extend their condolences to these bereaved families. With profound sorrow I also have to report the passing of Charles Drungelo in the month of August. The Husband of Ann, Father of Arlene, Chas, Jr. and Susan. Here is a case where the Blood Bank that we here at Branch 15 wanted to start would have come in very handy as he used up 24 pints of Blood while in the Hospital. Our condolences to this fine family. This is the month that Mr. Frank Balogh, Sr. takes off for a visit to Austria to see his dad. I understand that he will be gone about 5 weeks. A lots of luck and a safe journey to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Balogh, Sr. Our 1957-58 bowling season will start in a couple of days, giving us plenty of time to get settled and a good average for the coming Bowling Tournament in May and this time we hope for better success than last year. Our most heartfelt thanks to Steve Ivancso and his good looking wife for the wonderful dinner they supplied to me and my wife and kids on our way home from Cleveland, Ohio it was a welcome break in the long ride home. OK Steve, we will try to forget our watches altogether the next time I come down that way.
