Mr. KALISKA was born in 1889 at Babakut in Hungary and came to America in 1905. He first settled in Smithton, Pa. and moved later to Pittsbugh, Pa. He is the brother to my niece’s husband living in Hungary. They appealed to me for assistance to locate him, I will appreciate any help in this matter. The men’s league is all set with 8 teams participating — including the Old Dutch team Which walked off with the trophy in Dayton last season. Piául Buttermore, league secretary is hoping to häve some nice scores to report for the next issue of the Journal. Helen Kinser is secretary of the William Penn Women’s League. Her four teams plus the men’s 8 teams will roll at 6:30 on Sunday nights beginning Sept. 8, at the Cristopher Lanes. Come on out and cheer your favorites on!!! Mary is the daughter of Michael BILCZE whose family has cne of the largest Wm. Penn memberships in Br. 189. Bill BUZOGÁNY has returned to Rochester Medical Center after a vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Buzogány. Bill, an earnest young man with a promising future ahead has one more year of study before becoming an interne, Michael Buzogány is one of our most ardent members; he will be remembered by many Verhovayans as a winner in the 1938 membership contest in which the coveted prize was a European Tour. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Leno PISONI on the birth of a new grandson. The Robert Nelson’s of Chicago, 111. are the proud parents. Congratulations to SARAH LOUISE KOROSY on her graduation from Canton Aultman Hospital School of Nursing. C. members enjoying a golf stag at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course. John BARANY, President of Br. 189, is chairman for this event and we hope to have news of the winners for the next issue. Billy Carli, a Juvenile member only 10 years old, won a Golf Tournament staged at the Country Club for the younger set. Sarah is now a full fledged nurse, a credit to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Korosy; and the pride and joy of her grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Korosy, Sr. Her three years of training were sponsored by the Alliance Chapter, Women of the Moose .She plans to go to Cleveland University Hospital, Lakeside, where she will specialize in pediatrics .She won the honor of being her class queen during the recent junior-senior banquet and dance held in Canton Onesto Hotel. Congratulations, also, to Gene Mason who managed the Wm. Penn A. C. baseball team to a championship. A total of 64 guests including players and their parents were at our Wm. Penn Lodge Saturday, August 17, when the Lodge honored Gene and his boys with a delicious chicken dinner. The William Penn Athletic Club, winners of the Class G Hot Stove League baseball title, finished the season with 20 wins and two losses. May we remind all members and friends of Wm.
