July 17, 1957. PAGE 7 William Penn tizens born to Hungarian refugees fleeing from Hungary. They live in Flint, Michigan, but I don’t have the full information at this time. What a member, Mr. Csabi! I really forgot this one . . . The daughter of Mrs. John Denes, (her husband is recording secretary of Branch 36-V) was at the May meet­ing for a few minutes. She and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Tulak (nee Elizabeth Mora) have two lovely children, Richard L. and a doll of a daughter, Elaine. Incidentally, I found out that Mr. John Denes and Cousin Bela Horvath of Chicago, Il­linois are long-time buddies. I didn’t know that — how nice! Now I feel that Mr. Denes and I are nearly re­lated. The Tulaks belong to Br. 511-V And the best of all . . . my best friend in many a year, Miss Mar­garet Evans, who works in the Home Office in Pittsburgh, Pa. was in town on vacation and stayed with cousins John and Mary Budai in Wyandotte. She didn’t call us until the last two days of her vacation, but we piled up as much visiting as we could, with­out fracturing jaw muscles. I took her to the district office. Field Super­visor Gabriel Nameth was in town; District Managers Stephen Lukacs, Wayne G. Toth and Stephen Úsztok were making up the Branch 36-V monthly report, so she had an op­portunity to see our men “In action.” Best wishes to Margaret’s twin sis­ters Mary and Catherine, and delight­ful memories of that yummy lemon meringue pie which they make. On June 22, 1957 Building Committee Chairman Steve Csabi celebrated his birthday with his family and close friends. District Manager Stephen Lu­kacs and Mrs. Lukacs were among the close friends invited. Above, with children, are District Manager Lukacs, Mrs. Lukacs (holding one of the Csabi grandchildren), and Mr. and Mrs. Csabi. Mr. Csabi is one of the most active members of Branch 36-V and can be counted on to volunteer for any committee or project. — Happy birthday Mr. Csabi, from us all! Want more? Or can I take off and sit in the coolness of our patio? My next article will be entitled “MINEK AZ?” — meaning something like “What’s that for?”, or words to that effect. I’ve had the theme in mind for several years — it pertains to what the old-timers say when the second and third generation members request cooperation in some modern and AMERICAN type projects — the answer we get is, “MINEK AZ?”. Until August, so long, have fun, keep cool, and think of us in the middle of the Detroit River in that comfortable boat, — either fishing, or pulled up on some lost island and cooking our own meals like the In­dians did in the long ago.
