The Chicago Southside Branch No. 50-V decided to make a final money making venture. Two portable televisions were presented as prizes on May 18, 1957, at the New Martinique Night Club, at a dinner to which everyone was invited. The results were as follows: 1st Prize, 14 Inch. Portable Television, to Mrs. John Mikula 11919 South Wallace Street, Chicago 28, Illinois. 2nd Prize, 10 Inch Portable Television, Won by: Mr. Edward Wolff, 7225 West Division, River Forest, Illinois. The Chicago Southside William Penn Branch 50-V Bowling League held its Annual Bowling Banquet in the main dining room of the New Martinique Night Club on the abovementioned date. A fifteen piece orchestra furnished dinner and dancing music. Each regular bowler received one of the finest steak dinners free, share of the prize money and trophies to the outstanding bowlers. Wining and dining continued unril the wee hours of the morning. FRANK T. KAJDI, Dist. Mgr. Mgr. Branch 50-V Mr. and Mrs. PAUL SCOTT A prominent Hungarian couple of Racine, Wisconsin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 12, 1957. About 150 relatives, friends and well-wishers joined Mr. and Mrs. Paul Scott in the Hungarian Evangelical and Reformed Church school hall where the joyous event took place. The ladies of the parish served a delicious dinner to the honored couple and their guests. A prayer of thanksgiving was offered by the Rev. Raymond Dobay who, after the dinner, spoke. The Racine societies added their eulogies. The Scotts are both from Hungary, from the County of Görnijr and Kishont. Mr. tocoit was born June 16, 1885 in Felső Pákozd and came to America April 10, 1903. Mrs. Scott left Szelte and arrived here in 1905. The couple married May 10, 1907 in Clearage, Pennsylvania. Two sons and a daughter were born of their union and there are eight grandchildren, A member of our society for the past 42 years, Mr. Scott dutifully managed Branch 137-V of Racine for twenty years, giving up his beloved task only because of the ravage of time. Our very best to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Scott.
