We extend our sympathies to the deceased relatives. William Penn Chicago District Manager Given Honors The City of Chicago is one of the few that can boast of insurance prestige. Chicago has an exclusive organization called the “Fraternal Underwriters of Chicago.” This organization is to the insurance industry what the “Bar Association” is to the legal profession. On April 17, 1957 the Fraternal Underwriters of Chicago met for their most important all-day event of the year. The event was held at Chicagoland’s most distinguished supper club, the fabulous “Mangam Chateau” on Ogden Avenue. This affair was attended by the membership consisting of Chicago’s outstanding fraternal insurance underwriters. It reached its climax by the careful selection of its officers. Our own William Penn Chicago District Manager, Frank T. Kajdi, who manages Branch 50-V, won one of the positions as an officer of the Fraternal Underwriters of Chicago and was elected to its Board of Directors for a term of three years. Other William Penn insurance men in Chicago and vicinity who desire to qualify for membership in the aforementioned organization may do so by contacting Mr. Kajdi at his office. We congratulate District Manager Kajdi on the latest recognition received by him. IN MEMORY OF ALBERT B. ARI (Continued from page 1) Ari, Brogley and I, when we were members of the Finance Committee, urged a thorough looking into our real estate, which had become too slow in profitable returns. Better investments followed our suggestion and the study by the Board. Again, at the 1943 Convention, we united in our efforts to help make a better convention, improve the procedures at the Board of Directors Meetings, and in one sweep initiate a development program the fruition of which is felt to this day. Death snatched away Albert B. Ari from us, but his memory and his work have left their impression. I, his true friend and Director associate, continue to mourn him. On the 8th anniversary of the death of Albert B. Ari, I will journey to Trenton, New Jersey, enter the Riverview Cemetery, there to pray and lay a wreath, in the name of the William Penn Fraternal Association and in my own respectful regard, at the grave of a Hungarian American fraternalist: ALBERT B.
