PAGE 10 December 19, 1956 William Penn WE HAVE NOT TURNED A DEAF EAR to the Plea of Our Hungarian Brethren When >ve sent letters to our branches and when we wrote in our official organ about the misery of the Hungarian people following their fight for freedom, we were certain, that both the branches and the members would respond generously to this noble plea for a noble people for a noble cause. Thank God we have not been disappointed! Hearts are wide open for the branches and the members have sent and are sending in financial contributions that will make possible the securing of food, clothing, shelter, medical supplies, etc. for the desperate Hungarians. Our American friends and sympathizers have joined us in this campaign of mercy. It was fitting that our on n Hoard of Directors lead the way in example. The Board of Directors voted $5000 for Hungarian Relief. We could not in good reason beg for aid unless we practice what we preach. We repeat our plea to you — branches, members, friends — for financial aid for Hungarian Relief. Send your donations to the WILLIAM PENN FRATERNAL ASSOCIATION, 436 FOURTH AVENUE.
