His request for an increase of $1,000.00 for a total budget of $11,000.00 for the 195 i Bowling Tournament and Fellowship Days, is approved by the Board, with 13 affirmative votes and 4 negative votes. Upon the request of Director LANG, the Board now concerns itself with Item 7 of the Agenda. — Unfinished, Business: — Subpoint (g) — the Julius KLUCSIK case. After considerable discussion, the Board unanimously gives Director LANG a vote of confidence in this matter, as well as to the Home Office Staff for the manner in which they handled this case. The Board acknowledges without deliberation, the request of Frank FÖLDI relative to our Association’s participation in the American Hungarian Federation. Item 8 of the Agenda, Sub-point (n) — the appeal of Joseph BARRY of Branch 45-V, Cleveland, Ohio, is taken under lengthy deliberation by the Board. It is unanimously decided by the Board that our Legal Counsellor, utilizing all the files available, give his legal opinion to the next Spring meet­ing of the Board. The Board acknowledges, with thanks, Director Dr. KOVACS’s offer to attend the Medical Sessions of the National Fraternal Congress, at no cost to the Association. The Board Acknowledges Director RADVANY’s report that he attended the 45th Anniversary celebration of Branch 19-R in New Brunswick, N. J. at which time and occasion, he presented Mrs. Alexander PUSKAS with a watch, for being the oldest former Verhovay member in point of member­ship. A bowling trophy was presented to Louis KISS, at the same occasion, by Director MOLDOVANY. Also on this occasion, Director KORMONDY bestowed the ILLUSTRIOUS CITATION upon Stephen KOVÁCS, Honorary President of the Branch. The Board acknowledges the report of Director BENCZE that due to the untimely death of Alexander VARGX, Collector of Parent-R Branch in Bridgeport, Conn., the planned testimonial dinner could not be held in bis honor. The Board also acknowledges the report of Director KORMONDY that he awarded pens to four charter members of Branch 19-R in New Brunswick, N.J. on the occasion of the 45th Anniversary celebration. As the meeting had drawn to its conclusion, National President, Coloman RE VESZ, offers his sincere thanks to the Board, for the fine spirit and cooperation shown during this week’s session, and expresses a* feeling of great optimism for the future of the Association. Vice President MACKER briefly addresses the group to add his thanks to all for their kind attention and cooperation, and further states that, in his opinion, this was undoubtedly the best Board session he had ever attended in his 17 years of service on the Board. Vice President VARGA, Chairman of the Board, expressed his gratitude to the Board members for the cooperation extended to him, as presiding Chairman. There being no further business, upon a properly made and seconded motion, the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 11:13 A.M. Saturday, September 15, 1956. JULIUS J. This past summer the Borough of Springdale, Pennsylvania observed its 50th anniversary with a program worthy of the jubilee occasion. Participating in the borough's big parade was Branch 296-V of Springdale Above, accompanying the flower-bedecked William Penn float are, left to right: August Toth, as a coal miner, because men of that occupation were and still are a very important segment of our membership; Ronnie Balia and two Midget Ball Player friends: Ervin Mamros and Elaine Saellam, in plain clothes, representing our bowlers; Kathv Medesa and Anna Marie Fintor, in native dress, depicting our Magyar heritage; Director John P. Balia (barely visible), as William Penn, Founder of Pennsylvania and for whom our association is named. Here is a much better picture of Director John P.
