September 19, 1956 WilliamPenn PAGE 3 NOTICE TO BRANCH MANAGERS Class B Twenty Payment Life Certificates are being sent in to the Home Office in such large numbers that hereafter a different procedure will be used in providing Paid-Up certificates with their endorsements. Heretofore the procedure was thus: Tiie branch manager obtained the certificate from the member and mailed it to the Home Office. After the Home Office affixed the Paid-Up endorsement, the certificate was sent to the branch manager who then returned it to the members According to the new system, IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO SEND THE CERTIFICATE TO THE HOME OFFICE. The Paid-Up endorsement, with an explanatory letter to the member, will be sent to the branch manager who will deliver it to the member. The member will attach the endorsement to his certificate. This rule does NOT apply to Matured Endowment Certificates. They must still be sent to the Home Office since these certificates must be surrendered in order to receive the Matured Endowment proceeds. DESIDERIUS BOJTOS Recording Secretary The- Home Office was honored with a visit by Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gaal August 21, 1956. Mrs. Gaal is the manager of Branch 482-V, Beckley, West Virgina, and succeeded her husband to that position when the pressing duties of his regular employment made resignation from the branch managership imperative. The Gaals are a fine husband-wife team who have worked together for the benefit of their beloved Branch 482-V and have earned the deep respects of their fellow branch members. Even their visit was not without William Penn significance. They brought seven new applications in their good will toward the association. We were delighted to show Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gaal the operations at the Home Office and our welcome mat ever beckons members visiting in Pittsburgh.----------------------------- ' DO YOU KNOW? DIRECTORS AND NATIONAL OFFICERS HONORED AT TESTIMONIAL (Continued from Page 1) Each presenting Director showered a wealth of compliments on his honored recipient as the ILLUSTRIOUS CITATION and the GOLD MEDAL were bestowed. Events , of interest were recalled and humor in each case punctuated the presentation. All the honored receivers of the Association’s highest award expressed not only their deep appreciation and gratitude but also what was close to their hearts. Director Moldovany said that the Gold Medal would ever he affixed to his lapel; Director Magyary promised as much service to William Penn as to his former Rákóczi; Director Falussy assured his audience that, whether Director or not, he would remain a zealous fraternalist; Director Kormondy would keep up his member-getting record help speed the 100,000 membership goal; National Secretary Stelkovics shared his honors by giving basic credit for his success to his parents, his father-in-law and his wife; National Auditor Sabo gave solemn assurance that he would always maintain the principles and yield the diligent work that made him worthy of this award. As each presentation was made, Vice President Macker, in his role as toastmaster, added his own remarks and offered congratulations. Making the final address, Permanent Honorary National President Bencze expressed his faith and confidence in the two honored National Officers who, still comparatively young, are representative of the young blood so important to the future of our society. Mr. Bencze also expounded on the merger of the former Rákóczi Aid Association and the former Verhovay Fraternal Insurance Association, now welded into the more powerful and more enduring William Penn Fraternal Association. The formalities were closed by the toastmaster. Conviviality followed until the late hours. In closing this article, we again congratulate Directors ALEXANDER MOLDOVANY, FRANK MAGYARY, ALOYSIUS C. FALUSSY, JOSEPH KORMONDY, National Secretary ALBERT J. STELKOVICS and National Auditor JOHN SABO on their beautiful achievement and recognition! The thousands of our members and readers will be pleased to read these names of leadership and fraternal endeavor.
