Hungarian insurance Groups Merge Directors of a new fraternal benefit society, the William Penn Fraternal Association, are meeting today at Hotel Pittsburgher. The new organization, the result of two years of negotiations, was formed by the merger of the largest Hungarian benefit societies in the United States. As their September conventions, the Verhovay Fra­ternal Insurance Association of Pittsburgh, and the Rá­kóczi Aid Association of Bridgeport, Conn., agreed to merge forces. The final stamp of approval has been given by the insurance departments of Pennsylvania and Con­necticut. The directors, whose terms of office began with the last day of the simultaneous conventions, Sept. 17, have come from the parent organizations. The directors, coming from eight of the 15 states in which the organizations is licensed, are: Julius Macker, vice president, Wyandotte, Mich.; Louis Varga, vice president, Bridgeport, Conn.; John Balia, New Kensington; Stephen Bencze, Bridgeport, Conn.; Gabriel Czernai, Duquesne.
