Ivancso 8iiiia«'H!ggia^siia-aaagsigB,'Ba«5;aiBi.»i»iigi.aa«ilaiBiisiwiMgiaa«iBiisi^siBiBiiaHaaaiaaHB8 Branch 27 officers are looking forward to a good year in the fraternal field. December’s election of officers produced a fine group of young- men to lead our branch. The following- were elected to office: Julius Feyes was re-elected president; Al Feudi, vice-president; John Simon, secretary; and John Mokri, Jr., treasurer. The auditors are Louis “Dick” Sendi, Andrew Feyes and John Rakai. The sports activity of the branch is under leadership of A1 Feudi. William Tinta and Fritz Lesinszki. As the Christmas season approached, Branch 27 and all of Toledo’s bowlers were shocked to hear that our newly-elected vice president, Al Feudi, was critically injured in an automobile accident. Al, who can be called everybody’s friend, is one of the leading bowlers in the Toledo Times Traveling Classic. At this writing he is still in critical condition at the Maumee Valley Hospital. Our prayer at the beginning of this New Year is for the complete and speedy recovery of Al. Dr. Andrew Winter, Branch. 27 member, and one of our official physicians, is back at his office after a short stay at the Mayo Clinic, where he had undergone minor surgery. Our deepest sympathy is extended to the Bodnar family in Cleveland on the pasing away of Joseph Bodnar. While I was in Cleveland. I had the opportunity to talk to younger members of Branch 14. I was surprised to hear that some of them do not receive the Journal. Joe Cristoff is one of the bowlers who, at this late date, still doesn’t know where our next tournament will be held. Congratulations to the Julius Gombash Jrs. of Swanton. Their son James was the first one to join the William Penn Fraternal Association at Branch 27 in 1956. “Dick” Sendi closed the 1955 bowlingseason with a bang. Dick shot a 737 total high game of 279 in the second game. The stubborn no. 7 pin in the 3d frame kept Dick from a 300 game. Continued success in the Ne» Year, Dick.
