Ballash Congratulations to William Penn Association as it celebrates the 133rd anniversary of the founding of the organization. Our members can be proud of our fraternal heritage. Take time to look at all the great photographs published in the 2019 WPA calendar. Those photos showcase many of the projects and events sponsored throughout the year by the Association. Happy Valentine's Day! Surprise a loved one with a note or other means of communication expressing your appreciation for the love and kindness they have shown you. Let's also remember those serving in our nation's military who keep us out of harm's way, whether they are stationed here at home or abroad. This month, we are treated to a long weekend because of Presidents Day. Be certain to educate your children about who we honor with this holiday. We offer our sympathy to the families of Irene H. Lawrie and Anna M. Shank and to those branch members who have recently lost a loved one. Happy birthday and happy anniversary wishes go out to those celebrating a special day this month. And, while we're at it, we wish everyone a Happy Groundhog Day! For those of us living where winter brings snow and ice, let's make a commitment to taking care of ourselves: wear clothing appropriate for the weather; watch out for slippery sidewalks and parking lots; avoid driving on icy roads; keep your vehicles in good condition; and, if possible, remain indoors when the temperatures are frigid. Another commitment we should make is to be sure we have sufficient life insurance coverage for ourselves and all our loved ones.
