It's February, and you know what that means, don't you? Yes, we're halfway through winter, and, yes, it's going to be cold outside for a while longer. But, it also means we're more than halfway through the school year! In fact, many of us will be celebrating the 100th day of the school year sometime this month. To mark this special day, here are some activities you can try, some of which just might ask you to use what you've learned so far this year in school. • Get a plain, white T-shirt and create your own special shirt with 100 of something on it. For example, you can cover it with 100 stickers or 100 stamps, or you can get 100 people to write their name on it. • Take a paper plate and make it look like a gumball machine with 100 gumballs in it. You can use an ink dauber, marker or crayon to draw the gumballs. You can extend your arms out to help you keep your balance. • Read a book with the word "100" in the title, such as One Hundred Best Loved Verses by Mary Engelbreit or I'll Teach My Dog 100 Words by Michael Frith. • Build a "cup tower" by stacking 100 small paper cups on top of each other. You can make a game of this with your friends by seeing who can build a tower using all 100 cups in the shortest time. Make sure to snap a photo or two and tag us #WPALIFE on social media.
