Join Hands Against Hunger PITTSBURGH -- Need knows no season. Many food banks receive a flood of donations between Thanksgiving and Christmas, however, donations trickle in after the holiday season ends. To help combat this trend and fill a vital need, WPA is once again conducting its Join Hands Against Hunger campaign. This food drive is a great way to positively impact local communities in the new year. Any food or donations received would be distributed by your branch to your local food bank. Reimbursement would be available to all participating WPA branches through the Association’s matching funds program. The deadline for returning the forms and receipts to the Home Office is April 3, 2018. Each branch’s participation in this effort will be recognized in William Penn Life. Ili] For Starters_____________________ WPA Branches assist neighbors in need through Holiday Baskets program PITTSBURGH -- This past holiday season, WPA branches once again responded with overwhelming generosity to the Association's Holiday Baskets program. Between Thanksgiving and the end of the year, WPA branches donated 109 baskets of non-perishable food and other items worth a total of more than $5,350 to those in need in their local communities. More than 71% of our active branches participated in this program; of course, our goal remains 100% participation.
