For Starters Deadline for WPFA scholarship applications is May 31, 2017 WPA members interested in applying for grants from the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation for the school year 2017-2018 must submit their applications or renewal materials to the Home Office soon. All first-time and renewal application forms and essays must be mailed and postmarked by May 31, 2017. Applications and essays postmarked after that date will not be considered. For more information, a complete list of eligibility rules and an application form, turn to pages 14 to 16 in this issue. Or, visit our website: www.wpalife.org. Go to the “Members” section and click on “Scholarship Foundation.” Prizes sought for Chinese auctions WPA INVITES our members, branches and friends to donate prizes for the Chinese auctions to be held during both our annual golf tournament this July and the WPA Picnic in August. If you would like to donate a prize for either or both auctions, please contact Ronda at the Home Office at 1-800-848-7366, ext. 112, or at rkonesky@wpalife. org. Let Ronda know what type of prize you'll be donating and if you will be delivering your prize to the Home Office prior to the auction or bringing it with you the day of the event. Please place a sign on the basket with the name of the basket, the donor's name and the approximate value of the basket. Notice of Annual Meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. The next annual meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc., will be held Friday, July 7, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort & Conference Center, I 32 Pine Ridge Road, Blairsville, Pa. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the 34th Annual WPA Golf Tournament & Scholarship Days to be held July 7 and 8, 2017, in Blairsville, Pa. The meeting is open to all members. Any branch or individual donating a minimum of $100 is also eligible to vote at the annual meeting.
