Thank you to the National Officers, Board of Directors, Home Office employees and you, our won­derful members. We are the only American Hungarian fraternal. Help us to continue for many years to come. I hope you all had a wonderful winter and are ready to start getting active in all the events William Penn Association has to offer. We hope something we are planning piques your interest. • Our first activity of the year was and still is Join Hands Against Hunger. Your branch will be reim­bursed up to $50 for your participation. Receipts must be submitted by April 1. Food pantries are always in need. • We have a Guaranteed Issue promotion in prog­ress. This is available to all who would like insurance and become a member of William Penn Association. Please call an agent in your area or the Home Office for more information. • It is time to mail in your bowling registration. Even if you don't bowl, you are welcome to enjoy the ban­quet with us. Bowling is at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino. We are planning surprises for you throughout the two days. Hope to see you there. • • I hope all our graduating high school seniors are reading William Penn Life and are aware of our scholar­ships. Completed application forms and required essays must be dated and postmarked by May 31.1 know every student could use a little financial help. Don't let this opportunity pass you up. • Branch 18 is planning our Join Hands Day project. I hope all your branches are also planning to participate. Your branch will be reimbursed up to $500. Finding someone to help is not very difficult. Please take part. • A giant Hungarian Festival is again being planned in New Brunswick, N.J., on June 3. • Plans are also underway for our annual golf tour­nament. It will be on July 7 and 8 in Blairsville, Pa., at Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort. More information appears elsewhere in this issue. • We are looking forward to our annual Hungarian Heritage Experience to be held August 6 to 12 at the Sequanota Conference Center and Camp in Boswell, Pa. We did quite a few new things last year and are plan­ning more for this year. Yes, the pool will be open and available for our use. • St. Stephen's Day will again be celebrated in To­ledo, Ohio, on Aug. 19 and 20 during the city's annual Birmingham Ethnic Festival. • Our wonderful WPA Picnic in Hiram, Ohio will be held on Aug. 26. We are looking forward to seeing all of you again. • The WPA tour to Hungary is Sept. 6 to 22.1 prom­ise you the time of your life. Do you have information overload? I hope not. My plan is to give you plenty of time to plan your sched­ules. We surely have something for everyone. I will give you more information as time goes on.
