IF YOU ARE BORED and stuck inside the house this winter, now is a good time to create special popcorn, spending lots of time on getting the recipe JUST RIGHT! Make sure you pick a great movie that deserves a giant, tasty snack, like The Wizard of Oz or Mary Poppinsl Here are three recipes below that take some time and may need an adult - but it's okay because you are stuck indoors! Make sure to use one to two bags of microwave popcorn, up to 16 cups. Ranch - Melt 4 tablespoons of butter with a 1-ounce packet of ranch seasoning mix. Toss with 16 cups hot popcorn and 2 tablespoons chopped chives. Season with salt. Sweet Vanilla - Stir together 2 tablespoons of melted butter, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar. Toss this mixture with at least 8 cups (or 1 bag) of microwaved, hot buttered popcorn. Extra Cheesy - Toss 16 cups hot popcorn with 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese and 1 cup grated parmesan cheese; spread on baking sheets. Bake at 350°F until the cheddar melts for up to 3 minutes.
