From the National President by George S. Charles, Jr. 31 years of fraternal service As the Association marks its 131st anniversary on Feb. 21, it would be too limiting to perceive this occasion as a mere milestone in the history of our Association. Our path has recently been entwined with the history and structures that enhance corporate accountability and promotes honesty among our membership. Our Association remains dedicated to serving others, to offering financial security to our membership through quality life insurance and annuity products, and to promoting our Association on a regular basis throughout our branches and their local communities. It is imperative that we rekindle serious thinking about the importance of community values. It is inspiring to know that our Association realizes the importance of family and will continue to support the family and family values. On behalf of my wife Dianne and son Steve, as family and members, we congratulate William Penn Association. We have an excellent working fraternal team. Our officers, directors and Home Office staff contribute their talents to the ideals of our Association's mission statement. We all are continuously working to develop new programs and products for growth. So remember, when one of our sales representatives asks to review your insurance, welcome them into your home. Our sales representatives, along with you, our membership, represent our Association's future. We are proud to have the presence and support of all of you and also the role that all of you played over the years in the development of William Penn Association. You are truly our greatest asset, today and tomorrow. We could not accomplish what we do without your support and leadership. We must keep our Association alive, making our future generations and members proud to be part of William Penn Association. We must continue to have integrity, be honest, keep our word, stick to our principles, and value friendships and loyalty. We must also be willing to take risks, think creatively, and on a regular basis ask ourselves if we still have what it takes. We all have a voice, and when we come together and use our voices for all the right reasons, we can make positive changes. Before any of us think about where we are and where we are going, we have to understand where we have been. So, as we look back and ask whether or not we have been true and faithful to the dreams of our Founding Fathers, we can say with pride that we have all played our part. As we continue to move forward, our Association will continue to dedicate itself to you. Our fraternal spirit is still glowing like the spirit in the hearts of our founders more than 131 years ago. □ Show your WPA pride! We have a shipment of our popular Lands' End® brand, 100% cotton, short-sleeved polo shirts featuring an embroidered William Penn Association logo.
