WPA Annual Bowling Tournament i) WASHINGTON, PA -- Members and friends of WPA gathered April 28 and 29 at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Washington, Pa., for a weekend of family, fun and fratemalism during the Association's Annual Bowling Tournament. All of the men, women and children who bowled with us that Saturday truly enjoyed themselves, judging from their broad smiles, loud cheers and frequent laughter. It's that spirit of fratemalism, of sharing a fun time amongst friends, that makes this event special. It's more of a family reunion than a competition, a chance to enjoy good food, good company and good times. As guests arrived at the bowling lanes, they were greeted with a continental breakfast, featuring a variety of pastries and baked goods. Once everyone had a chance to settle in at their assigned lanes and get in a few minutes of practice, the official first balls of the tournament were thrown. Enjoying this honor were the tournament's oldest and youngest adult B participants, Irene A. Kovács of Branch 89 Homestead, Pa., and / W Jeffrey Holmes of Branch 296 Springdale, Pa., respectively. ! Meanwhile, the children were busy "Cosmic Bowl- Jr Jw ing" in their own private bowling party room. They ß bowled to their hearts' content, then enjoyed free k pizza and sodas.
