For Starters WPA Easter baskets spread the fraternal spirit WPA'S FRATERNAL SPIRIT seems to know no bounds. Our branches proved that again this past Easter when they participated in our Association's Easter Basket program. This year, 16 branches prepared and donated Easter baskets to 140 recipients in the local communities, making the holiday a happier one for many. Our thanks to the following branches:- Branch 14 Cleveland, OH - Donated three grocery gift cards to the less fortunate.- Branch 15 Chicago, IL - Presented a basket of groceries to a single father currently facing financial difficulties.- Branch 18 Lincoln Park, MI - Gave two grocery store gift cards to individuals in need.- Branch 26 Sharon, PA - Filled four Easter baskets with treats and supplies for a family and three individuals.- Branch 27 Toledo, OH - Donated 10 Easter treat baskets to patients at Child's Life of Toledo Hospital.- Branch 28 Youngstown, OH - Distributed two Easter baskets to children at Beatitude House and at the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley.- Branch 34 Pittsburgh, PA - Donated a grocery store gift card to someone in need.- Branch 40 Martins Ferry, OH - Gave grocery store gift cards to two individuals.- Branch 89 Homestead, PA - Donated paper products, personal care items and clothing to two people who were forced from their home and entered protective custody.- Branch 129 Columbus, OH - Presented Easter baskets to 85 children staying at the Van Buren Shelter.- Branch 132 South Bend, IN - Donated a basket of cleaning supplies to Our Lady of the Road day shelter.- Branch 189 Alliance, OH - Donated 20 Easter baskets Tara Vargovic (far left), director of assisted living at Bel Air Assisted Living in Alliance, Ohio, accepts a donation of Easter baskets and gift bags from Branch 189 members Gloria Vargovic, Brenda Court and McKenna Graham. Special thanks to Theresa Boyd, Jayme Fletcher, Joyce Bland, Jim Ball and Barb Simons for their time and donations. and 16 gift bags to residents in Bel Air Assisted Living.- Branch 296 Springdale, PA - Donated money, personal care items, party supplies and children activity items to Beverly's Birthdays.- Branch 349 Weirton, WV - Donated two grocery store gift cards to people in need.- Branch 800 Altoona, PA - Presented three grocery store gift cards to individuals in need.
