MINUTES OF THE 38TH GENERAL CONVENTION OF $250.00 EACH FOR THEIR SERVICES AT THE CON­VENTION. 40. Convention / Recessed. Chair of the Convention House recessed the General Convention until 9:00 A.M. Monday, October 12, 2015. MONDAY - OCTOBER 12,2015 41. Convention / Reconvened. Chair of the Convention Barbara A. House reconvened the 38th General Conven­tion at 9:00 A.M. 42. Roll Call. Secretary of the Convention Dora S. McKinsey proceeded with the roll call and reported that a quorum was present. 43. Convention Minutes dated Sunday, October 11, 2015 Read / Accepted. Secretary of the Convention McKinsey read the Minutes of the 38th General Convention held on Sunday, October 11,2015. MOVED BY JAMES W. ROBERTSON, SECONDED BY ANNE MARIE SCHMIDT AND THE DELEGATES OF THE 38TH GENERAL CONVENTION ACCEPTED THE CONVENTION MINUTES DATED SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11,2015. 44. Report of Actuary Robert E. Bruce. Chair of the Convention House introduced Robert E. Bruce, Consulting Actuary of Bruce and Bruce Company. He submitted his report on William Penn Association's business activities for the past four years. 45. Actuarial Report / Acknowledged. MOVED BY THOMAS F. HOUSE, SECONDED BY ANDREW W. MCNELIS AND THE DELEGATES OF THE 38TH GENERAL CONVENTION ACKNOWLEDGED THE REPORT OF ACTUARY ROBERT E. BRUCE. 46. National Officers / Announced. Chair of the Conven­tion House announced the names of the newly electedNa­­tional Officers - for National President-George S. Charles, Jr.; for National Vice President/Secretary-Jerry A. Hauser; for National Vice President/Treasurer-Diane M. Torma. 47. National Officers / Installed. The National Officers were called to the podium and Ralph F. Manning, Esq. installed the newly elected National Officers. 48. Memorial Service / Conducted. Reverend Dr. Joseph G. Bodnar conducted the Memorial Service. The Memo­rial Service commemorated the passing of former Officers, Board of Directors, Auditing Committee Members, Home Office Employees, Branch Officers, Coordinators and Illustrious Members. All in attendance sang the hymn "Amazing Grace." 49. Convention Delegates Ratify Actions of the Board of Directors and National Officers From 2011 through 2014 / Resolution Adopted. National Vice President/Secretary Jerry A. Hauser reviewed the Report of the Board of Direc­tors and National Officers. Delegate Andrew W. McNelis presented the following Resolution: MOVED BY ANDREW W. MCNELIS, SECONDED BY KATHERINE E. NOVAK AND THE DELEGATES OF THE 38TH GENERAL CONVENTION ADOPTED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION: BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE DELEGATES OF THE 38TH GENERAL CONVENTION APPROVE AND AC­CEPT THE REPORT OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND NATIONAL OFFICERS AND RATIFY THE AC­TIONS OF THE NATIONAL OFFICERS AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR THE YEARS 2011 THROUGH 2014. 50. Retired National Directors / Awards Presented. Chair of the Convention House called to the podium the two retiring National Directors, Dermis A. Chobody and Nickolas M. Kotik and each received a commemorative plaque and watch in appreciation for their many years of distinguished service to WPA. She also called Gregory G. Nagy, son of deceased National Director Roger G. Nagy, to the podium and presented him with a commemorative plaque in appreciation of Roger's many years of distin­guished service to WPA. Chair of the Board Andrew W. McNelis presented Bar­bara A. House with her commemorative plaque and watch in appreciation for her many years of distinguished service to WPA. National President George S. Charles, Jr. then presented Barbara A. House, first female Chair of the Board of WPA, with her portrait which will be hung in the Home Office. National Director James W. Robertson called the 2011- 2015 Board of Directors to the front of the Convention floor to present retiring Chair of the Board Barbara A. House with a special gold award for the Tree of Knowledge. 51. WPFA Scholarship Foundation, Inc./Report. Na­tional Vice President/Treasurer Diane M. Torma present­ed a report on the WPFA Scholarship Foundation, Inc. 52. Chair of the Convention / Closing Remarks. Chair of the Convention Barbara A. House gave her closing re­marks on the last four years of being Chair of the Board of William Penn Association. She introduced the Branch 0018 Branch Officers who were in attendance and thanked them for their hard work. 53. Benediction. Rev. John P. McKinsey, Jr. offered the benediction. 54. Convention/Adjourned. Chair of the Convention House mentioned that all the work on the Agenda is complete and asked for a motion to adjourn. She wished everyone a safe and pleasant journey to their homes and hoped to see everyone at WPA's Convention in 2019. MOVED BY CHAIR OF THE BOARD ANDREW W.
