Married for 65 years and parents of four children, they endured the Great Depression and embodied the spirit of the Greatest Generation. Estelle was raised by immigrant parents who harbored a great love for their adopted homeland. Joe, orphaned at a young age, was raised by his widowed grandmother, a bachelor uncle and the neighborhood where he grew up. After returning from service at a CCC camp in New Mexico, Joe met his lovely Estelle at a dance hall and they soon married. Together, while Joe served in the U.S. Navy, he and Estelle traveled America and spoke of their adventures throughout their lifetimes. Both highly valued education and, always wanting the best for their children, made certain that each attended college. They valued the ideals of fraternalism. Here’s to you, Mom and Dad!
