♦VééVéV.VV ■ VVSVSéVé Holiday Greetings from the Chair OUR BELOVED William Penn Association has had another magnificent, busy and eventful year. Very special thanks to our National Officers, Home Office employees, Board of Directors and you, our very special members, for helping make this, our 128th year, so very memorable. Thank you to those who participated and supported our many fraternal events. Many of you took part in Join Hands Day. You helped grow our annual bowling and golf tournaments (even in the pouring rain). Our Hungarian Heritage Experience in August was our best ever. We now have 47 names on our reservation list for 2015. The WPA Picnic-A Great Fraternal Fest was attended by more than 1,000 members and their guests. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support. On Sept. 11, many of us visited our Motherland, Hungary. We were there for 15 days. This year, we stayed exclusively in Hungary. We had some repeat travelers but more first-timers. We renewed old friendships and made new ones. Our next trip in 2016 will include Hungary and Croatia. Hope you can join us. The year 2014 will end with many of your branch Christmas parties. As always, I thank my wonderful branch officers who Remember to Christ in Christmas May 2015 turn out better than you can imagine. I Happy Holidays Bero again pitched in to make Branch 18 so special. You have never refused to work very hard, and I thank you so much. All of the above events (except the tour) will again be offered next year. Please attend as many as possible. They will again have early bird discounts. That was so successful this year. If we are invited, we will attend as many of your branch events as possible. We will do all we can to help you make and keep your branch successful. Invite our juvenile members to take an active part in your events. They are your future. Try to hang on to our scholarship recipients. They are a wonderful group of young adults. We awarded 162 scholarships this year. Remember the WPFA Scholarship Foundation in your estate planning. No gift is too small. Please support your branch. Be as active as possible. Plan events that will appeal to many. Listen to each of your members' suggestions. You just might hear something new and exciting. We are the only Hungarian American fraternal society left. We need you to bring in new members in order for us to be around at least another 128 years. The future is in your hands. I wish you a wonderful holiday season and a stupendous 2015.1 hope you spend time with all your loved ones. We ask God to continue to bless our beloved William Penn Association and you, our wonderful members. Again, I wish you happiness to keep you sweet, enough trials to keep you strong, enough success to keep you eager, enough faith to give you courage and enough determination to make each day special. (Thank you, again, Father Barnabas.) Boldog és áldott Karácsonyt a bethlehemi Jézus áldásával és békés, sikeres új esztendőt.
