For Starters Kotik elected president of PA Fraternal Alliance HARRISBURG - Nickolas M. Kotik, vice chair of the William Penn Association Board of Directors, was elected president of the Pennsylvania Fraternal Alliance during the PFA's annual meeting in October. His election continues our Association's long tradition of having our officers and directors serve in leadership roles within the PFA and other state fraternal alliances. Kotik will lead the PFA's efforts to promote fraternalism within Pennsylvania while protecting the interest of fraternal benefits societies and their membership. This was not the only election in which Kotik was recently involved. In November, he was reelected to serve a seventh consecutive term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where he is a member of the Insurance Committee. Congratulations, Nick, on both of these achievements. Manning receives award for advocacy & leadership PITTSBURGH - Ralph F. Manning, WPA's general counsel, was recently presented the Outstanding Community Leader Award from the Three Rivers Center for Independent Living. He received the award in recognition of his long history of being an advocate for persons with disabilities living independently and supporting the needs of those in the communities where he practices law. He is currently serving as the chair of the Three Rivers Center for Independent Living. Manning is a shareholder at Tucker Arensberg, P.C. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in "The Best Lawyers in America" and named a "Pennsylvania Super Lawyer." He is also active in many regional and community organizations, including Leadership Pittsburgh, the Regional Development Funding Corporation, and the Rotary Club of Pittsburgh.
