Let Ronda know what type of prize you’ll be donating and if you will be delivering your prize to the Home Office prior to the auction or bringing it with you the day of the event. Please place a sign on the basket with the name of the basket, the donor’s name and the approximate value of the basket. All proceeds from the Chinese auctions benefit the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation. Seeking the stories of 1956 refugees and Freedom Fighters To commemorate the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, William Penn Life is planning to publish the stories of those who witnessed or directly participated in the uprising. Then join us at the 31st Annual WPA Golf Tournament & Scholarship Days, July 18 and 19. Information about accommodations, entry fees and reservations can be found on the registration form on page 27 of this issue. The tournament will once again be played at the Quicksilver Golf Club in Midway, Pa. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top foursomes of our scramble format tournament. You could also win cash prizes during our skill shot competition, including the big prize of $15,000 in our hole-in-one contest. Meanwhile, our younger members and guests are invited to join us for the return of the Mini-Golf Open. All WPA members ages 6 to 15 are welcome to play a FREE round of miniature golf at Scally's Golf Center in Coraopolis, Pa., on Saturday, July 19, beginning at 10:00 a.m. More information and a reservation form for this event can be found in our "Just 4 Kidz" section on pages 18 and 19 of this issue. Everyone is invited to the golf awards barbeque to be held immediately after the tournament at the Quicksilver clubhouse. Please note that the Friday evening reception at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott is free to golfers and their family members. Non-golfing guests can attend the reception for $10. All those planning to attend MUST preregister for the reception, using the form on page 27. A few dates to keep in mind: • An "Early Bird" discount will be offered to all golfers and non-golfing barbeque guests if they mail and postmark their entries and reservations by June 10. Golfers and nongolfing barbeque guests can save $10 off either their goß entry fee or their barbeque admission. • Hotel reservations are due June 20 to get the WPA rate. Golfers and guests must make their room reservations directly with the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott. • All entries for the adult golf tournament, the awards barbeque and the Mini-Golf Open are due at the WPA Home Office by June 24. Home Office conducts Easter Food Drive Congratulations to the Home Office staff on the completion of another successful food drive. Between March 10 and April 11, our employees donated a total of 430 pounds of non-perishable food items (pictured at left) as part of their Easter Food Drive.
