For Starters •#iVV<*VV*V'é#*é#"éé*V'ééiV<’*#*éé Holiday Greetings from the Chair William Penn has had another wonderful, busy and eventful year. Special thanks to our National Officers, Home Office employees, Board of Directors and especially you, our wonderful members, for helping to make this, our 127th year, so memorable. Thank you to all who participated and supported all our events. We had many branches take part in Join Hands Day, our super bowling and golf tournaments, our early sell-out of the Hungarian Heritage Experience and our record-breaking WPA Picnic-A Great Fraternal Fest. We then had many travelers on our European trip just four days after the picnic. On the trip, we saw most of Transylvania and Hungary. Next year, we will stay in Hungary. We want to see as much of our heritage as we can in two weeks. Please join us. We are tentatively scheduled to depart Sept. 10. We will close this year with many wonderful branch Christmas parties. Thank you to all my Branch 18 officers, who again pitched in so I could attend some of your events. I love you all. All of these events will again be offered in 2014. Please plan to attend as many as possible. They will again have early bird discounts. This will help us plan these events and make them better. The Official Family will again do our best to attend as many of your branch activities as we can during the coming year. We are always available to help you build your branches so they will last at least another 127 years. Remember your juvenile members. They are our future. Do your best to hang on to our scholarship recipients. Ask for their input. They are a wonderful group of members. We awarded 170 scholarships again this year. Thank you for all your donations. Please help your branch. Be an active member. Make suggestions for activities. Keep your branch going into the future. The future depends on you. Recruit new members. We are the only Hungarian American fraternal society. We must support each other, Americans and Hungarians alike. It's all up to you. It is with great joy and thanksgiving that I wish you a wonderful holiday season. I hope you spend it with those you love. We ask God to continue blessing our beloved William Penn Association and you, our wonderful members. May you always have enough happiness to keep you sweet, enough trials to keep you strong, enough success to keep you eager, enough faith to give you courage, and enough determination to make each day a good day. (Thank you, Father Barnabas, for the blessing.) Boldog és áldott Karácsonyt a bethlehemi Jézus áldásával és békés, sikeres új esztendőt. With much thanks and love, Barbara Ann House American Hungarian Foundation prepares for Festival of Trees Celebrate Christmas with your branch We invite you and your family to celebrate the holiday season in the true fraternal spirit with your fellow WPA members.
