Branching Out with Endre Csornán Join us for our summertime fraternal events The 30th Annual Golf Tournament & Scholarship Days are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, July 19 and 20. The weekend will begin Friday at 4:00 p.m. with registration at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott. The Annual Meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc., will convene at 6:00 p.m. in the hotel ballroom. The golfers’ reception will begin at 7:00 p.m at the hotel. The reception will feature the annual putting contest and a Chinese auction benefitting the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. William Penn Association has also reserved tee times at Quicksilver Golf Course on Friday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to dusk. Golfers must register for these tee times by calling Brian at 724-796-1594. The Hungarian Heritage Experience will be held Aug. 4 to 10 at Scenic View. I'm pleased to report that the class is filled again! Preparations for the 13th Annual WPA Picnic-A Great Fraternal Fest are well under way. More than 30 kitchen helpers attended the picnic committee's luncheon meeting held at Scenic View on April 6. There were several good suggestions from our volunteers which will ensure the 2013 picnic will be the best ever. This year, we will have two hay rides running all afternoon as well as a teen dance party with a DJ at the Lakeside Lodge. Please make your plans now to join us on Saturday, Sept. 7, and purchase tickets in advance by calling me at the Home Office at I -800-848-7366, ext. 136. Bring your kids, grandkids, neighbors and fellow church members. The organizing committee is also seeking Chinese auction basket donations. Our WPA Tour 2013 to Hungary and Székely Land is fully booked. Final payments must be in the Home Office by July 5.
