The states we’re in

Erszi here! Here’s hoping February 2012 will be a mild and dry month. I, for one, am looking forward to the warm breezes of spring.

The life blood ofWPA is its 64 individual branches. In preparation for the General Convention, each branch is assigned to a delegate district. Each district has at least one delegate who votes at the General Convention. Some branches are very small in membership and must be combined with other branches in the vicinity to make up a district. (For example, for the most recent Convention in 2011, District 32 consisted of the membership of five branches.) The more life benefit members a district has, the more voting delegates it possesses. (For example, District 15 consisted of the membership of Branch 14 exclusively. Branch I4‘s huge membership enabled this district to have the largest number of delegates of any district with six.)

All told there are currently 19 states with WPA Branches. The February 2012 wordsearch contains 19 clues. Each clue represents one of the states that have at least one WPA branch.
