Moneywise with Jeff DeSantes i Giving back to the community LAST SUMMER, William Penn Association entered into an agreement to help support the local YMCA's in the Pittsburgh area. We believe that corporate involvement is a powerful tool that builds a reservoir of goodwill for a company at the local level. Corporate outreach shows that a company is serious about their community and it shows that they want to invest in the future for a better tomorrow. One way William Penn --i Association has shown its commitment is by investing in the YMCA community. Today, the YMCA engages more than 10,000 neighborhoods across the country. As the nation's leading nonprofit committed to helping people and communities to learn, grow and thrive, the YMCA's contributions are both far-reaching and intimate, from influencing our nation's culture during times of profound social change to the individual support they provide. It supports and serves our neighbors. The YMCA ensures that everyone has the opportunity to become healthier, more confident, connected and secure. The YMCA has a strong and diverse volunteer base, and together we have partnered with them to help in the areas of balanced health for all, family engagement, and hope for our children for tomorrow. We want to help them in the fight against various chronic health diseases and childhood obesity. This being said, this is why we have partnered with the YMCA: to ensure the future of our children. We want to continue this relationship into the future so that we can help build stronger communities by giving back to our neighborhoods. This summer, we will be hosting a field trip for the YMCA on June 28, 2012, at Scenic View, located in the Seven Springs area. Scenic View is a unique, picturesque, serene and extraordinary 180-acre lodging and event center in the breathtaking Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. The field trip will involve taking day campers enrolled in the YMCA program to Scenic View for the day. We have a full day of activities planned for the campers, including fishing, hiking and a nature talk. We also will be providing a tasty lunch that will be sponsored by WPA. If you would like to volunteer during this event, please call the home office at 1-800-848-7366 ext. 134. One of the best investments we can make is in our children for tomorrow. □ If you do not have a WPA agent, please call the Home Office at 1-800-848-7366, ext. 120, and we can assist you in finding an agent who will sewe you and your family by offering: • A Review of Your Needs • Life Insurance Protection • Taxed-Deferred Annuities • • Juvenile Insurance Plans • Special Fraternal Benefits • 4 0 May 2012 0 William Penn Life
