Smaller Board ready for big challenges

Among the prudent decisions made by the 37th General Convention was a decision to reduce the size of WPA's Board of Directors from 14 members to 10. The new, smaller Board reflects the Association's commitment to responsibly managing our members’ funds and obtaining maximum results during challenging economic times. The new Board includes seven returning members and three new members, each of whom bring to the Board the knowledge, dedication and determination to guide our Association to even greater success. Standing ready to serve WPA during the next fours years are:

v Barbara A. House, 69, the first I woman to serve as Chair of the II Board, a National Director since I 1993, and a member of Branch 18 y ; Lincoln Park, Mich.

H William J. Bero, 56, Vice Chairman of the Board, a member of the Board I from 1987 to 1991 and from 1999 to the present, and a member of Branch 1 Bridgeport, Conn.

_ Nickolas M. Kotik, 60, Vice Chairm I man of the Board, a member of the -.. S I Board since 2005 and a member of * ’ f5' TME Branch 8020 McKees Rocks, Pa.

Dennis A. Chobody, 62, a member of the Board since 2007, a member of the former National Auditing Committee from 1991 to 2007, and a member of Branch 88 Rural Valley, Pa.

Andrew W. McNelis, 64, a member of the Board since 1995, and a member of Branch 34 Pittsburgh, Pa.

Roger G. Nagy, 67, a member of the Board from 1983 to 1999 and from 2007 to the present, and a member of Branch 71 Duquesne, Pa.

Katherine E. Novak,, 57, one of

three new members of the Board, and a member of Branch 28 Youngstown, Ohio.

James W. Robertson, 58, one of

three new members of the Board, and a member of Branch 336 Harrisburg, Pa.

Richard E. Sarosi, 56, one of three new members of the Board, and a member of Branch 14 Cleveland, Ohio.
