Branch News Branch 8 Johnstown, PA by Dorothy Kedves Winter really surprised us on Oct. 29 before Halloween with a coating of 11 inches of snow. Old Man Winter should know better than to spook us with that amount. At our branch meeting Nov. 11, plans were made for the children's and family Christmas party, which was to be held Nov. 27 in Oratory Hall in Cambria City. We elected branch officers for the year 2012, and the following were elected: Ernest Kedves, president; David M. Kozak, vice president; Dorothy Kedves, secretary-treasurer; and David S. Kozak and David M. Kozak, auditors. Alexis Kozak continues to serve as branch coordinator. We wish all members of William Penn Association a blessed and Merry Christmas. Keep God in your hearts. Keep our service men and women in your prayers, and remember and pray for all our members who are sick and home bound. Peace and goodwill to all! Well, another year is almost over and soon we will be beginning 2012. The time just seems to fly by more quickly every year. As the holiday season is upon us, we find ourselves reflecting on the past year and those who have touched our lives. Throughout the year, so many tasks are demanding of our time that we can easily lose track of things most important to us. Take extra time this Christmas season and remember to be thankful for the blessings given us by our Lord. I have been especially blessed with loving, caring and encouraging parents: Nick and Teresa Toth. Keep in your prayers those in the armed forces who cannot be home with their families while they protect our country and our freedom. May peace, joy and happiness be your gift at Christmas and all year through. For information about our branch activities, please call Joyce Nicholson at 740-264-6238.
