Thank you all for the cards and letters you have sent expressing your thoughts on the format for future editions of The Hungarian Kitch­en. The goal is to please all our readers with culinary information made easy to understand to make better Magyar cooks. Chef Vilmos and I have been very happy to serve you this past year and look forward to provid­ing much, much more from The HK this coming New Year 2011. You are the best and most faithful readers, making Vilmos' and my job a task very rewarding each month. Now, some housekeeping.... In 2011, William Penn Association will celebrate its 125th anniversary. There will be a gala event at the Pittsburgh Marriott North Hotel in Cranberry Town­ship on Saturday, Sept. 3, which is Labor Day Week­end. More information about the dinner will follow in upcoming issues of William Penn Life. WPA will also have its General Convention during the same weekend, so attend your branch meetings to elect your delegates. In just over three years, 3,000 copies of the WPA cookbook, "A Taste of Hungarian Heaven," have sold. There are still a few copies available for sale at the Home Office. Starting next month, I will have details about a new cookbook project for WPA. Finally, yet importantly, here is your trivia: Wltat is the origin of the fruitcake?
