IL Br. 28 Youngstown, OH WPA members attending accredited colleges and universities as full-time undergraduate students are eligible to apply for grants through the Wil­liam Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Grants are awarded to those students as determined by the Awards Committee. This year, the Scholarship Founda­tion awarded grants to 168 students, including 48 first-time recipients. Since its founding in 1972, the Scholarship Founda­tion has awarded 5,042 grants totalling $2,161,650. All of this is made possible by the generosity of our members and friends through direct contributions, the purchase of "leaves" on the Scholarship Foundation's Tree of Knowl­edge and support of various fund-raising activities, includ­ing those held in conjunction with our annual golf tourna­ment, WPA Picnic and events conducted by William Penn Association branches.
