Welcome new members Sean McKee, Bailey Kosaski (thanks Lee and Anita Kosaski) and Darlene Kraepel. Thanks also to Madeline Banjack, Aladar Nemes and Doris Schvarckopf. I promise to keep an eye on all your investments. Thanks to all of you for the confidence you have in William Penn Association and me. Bon voyage to Aladar and Linda Nemes on their trip to Hungary. I know you will have a glorious month. We will be there at the same time. Hope to see you there. Members Tamas and Ursula Markovits had a lovely Hungarian barbeque for the Hungarian Arts Club members. This was our first invite. Everything from gulyás over the fire to a szalonna sütés. We saw the lovely Lara Semetko and her wonderful family there also. Lara has promised to entertain at the 2011 General Convention. Wait till you hear her beautiful voice. A real treat for the senses. Thank you. We had a great time. I am now taking reservations for our annual November Soaring Eagle trip. The cost is $85. We will go on Nov. 15 and 16. You will receive $25 in cash, a lovely room and a free dinner. The accommodations at the hotel are second to none. Please call me as soon as possible to reserve your space. Branch 28 Youngstown, OH by Kathy Novak What a wonderful Fraternal Fest Endre Csornán, his committee, the National Directors, National Officers and members of the Home Office staff prepared for all those who attended the 10th Annual WPA Picnic on Sept. 11. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the food, music, raffles and fraternalism were outstanding. Our annual reunion with our dear friends Lucille and Charlie from New Jersey was an added treat to the day. We were also glad to get a chance to talk with Steve Mislay's daughter and family from Monroeville, Pa. It's always so nice to visit with friends at this yearly event. I think it's safe to say everyone had a great time and is planning on next year's fest. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make it such an enjoyable day for everyone. A warm welcome back to the Youngstown area goes out to Wilma Koneval who recently relocated here from Florida. It's hard to believe that plans are getting in gear for the annual Branch 28 family Christmas party to be held Saturday, Dec. 4. In conjunction with the party, the branch will hold its annual holiday scholarship raffle. Happy birthday and happy anniversary to all those celebrating William Penn Life 0 October 2010 0 23
