Most recently, he was recognized as the top performer in the 2009 category “Total Face Amount of Insurance Certificates.” Alan’s motivation to place large amounts of life insurance can be traced to having lost his father at a young age and seeing the importance of having enough insurance to provide for families. As a way of giving back to the industry, Alan served on the board of directors for the Mahoning Valley chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors from 2003 to 2008. This time was spent working with local insurance professionals to raise awareness both within and outside the insurance community about issues they face. Each year a golf outing was held to raise money for Lifebank, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness and participation of organ donors. Alan has many interests, but going to new places and having interesting adventures definitely tops the list. He visited Hungary as a child, and again on his honeymoon. He hopes to return with his children to complete the cycle. His other interests include tennis, chess and spending time with his family. Alan and his family reside in Columbiana, Ohio, which is about an hour’s drive to the WPA Home Office. Alan is also licensed to practice in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Illinois.
