Branch 28 Youngstown, OH by Kathy Novak Can it be that it's time to be preparing for the 2008 WPA family Christmas party? Yes, it is...so mark your calendars for Saturday, Dec. 6. Santa's making room in his busy schedule to join us that day for our party at our new location-Our Lady of Hungary Church Mindszenty Hall, 5454 N. Belle Vista, Youngstown. The party begins at 12:30 p.m. So, watch the mail for invitations for the children, but remember, all adult WPA members are invited as well. You can contact Steve Novak or me at 330-746-7704 to make your reservations. Don't forget the holiday scholarship raffle will be held that day also. Then, following the party, we will hold the election of branch officers for 2009. Prior to our November meeting, Branch 28 will honor our newest 50- year members at a special premeeting dinner. Honorees will be notified by mail of the details for this event. Best of luck to Samantha Tracy who is traveling to an Indian community in Arizona for six weeks for a medical field excursion. Many happy wishes to all those celebrating either a birthday or anniversary this month. Get well wishes to everyone not feeling up to par these days, especially National President George S. Charles Jr. Our sincere sympathy goes to all who have experienced the loss of a loved one recently, especially the family of retired Vice Chairman of the Board Elmer W. Toth. He was a devoted and faithful member of the WPA. May he rest in peace. Wishing everyone a blessed Thanksgiving.
