Branch News Branch 14 Cleveland, OH by Dawn D. Ward We hope you're all enjoying the wonderful summer weather and taking advantage of outdoor activities. On July 11,30 branch members enjoyed an outing to Progressive Field to see the Cleveland Indians defeat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-0. Following the victory, everyone was treated to a spectacular fireworks display. Another wonderful outdoor activity to wind up the summer is the annual WPA Picnic at beautiful Penn Scenic View, Saturday, Sept. 13. As of this writing, there are still eight seats available on the bus which will depart from the First Hungarian Reformed Church that Saturday morning and return in the evening. The cost is $30 per person, which includes the price of admission. For more information contact Violet Sarosi at 440-248-9012. The WPA sales force met in Harrisburg, Pa., July 18, to share ideas and hear various Home Office personnel, Board members, and select field representatives speak on the state of the organization. After welcoming remarks from Chairman of the Board Stephen J. Varga and National President George S. Charles Jr., National Vice President-Treasurer Diane M. Torma reported on the impressive financial strength of the WPA. Jeff Ward spoke on the advantages of the safe, steady growth of annuities. He stressed the benefits of compound interest over a period of time and how annuities compete favorably with alternative forms of investments. For more information regarding WPA annuities and life insurance products, contact Jeff Ward at 440-838-1200. The branch welcomes new member Joshua Ayers.
