Branch News Branch 8 Johnstown, PA by Dorothy Kedves On Dec. 2 the icy rain did not keep Santa Claus from arriving at the annual Branch 8 Christmas party. When Santa arrived, the children were decorating sugar cookies made and supervised by Janel Kozak. They also decorated Christmas ornaments to take home for their Christmas trees. The children told Santa their Christmas wishes. Santa gave each a bag of goodies from the Home Office. The party came alive with the flashing tambourines. Ernest Kedves played Christmas music. The luncheon was served with assorted pizzas, chicken wings, cookies and other goodies. The members always look forward to the calendars and other items from the Home Office. Thank you for making the party a success. Election of officers took place after the party. We all felt sadness in our hearts for the loss of our past president Sándor Yuhas. Election results were: Ernest Kedves, president; David S. Kozak, vice president and treasurer; Dorothy Kedves, secretary; and Mary Groshans and Elaine Engle, auditors. We all wish WPA members a healthy, happy new year. For any questions regarding Branch 8, please notify Ernest Kedves at 814-479-7502. Branch 13 Trenton, NJ [_ by Elsie H. The officers continued their long-standing practice of not accepting an honorarium. The party commenced with a delicious buffet, which included the traditional kolbász and cabbage noodles and pastries prepared by Elsie and Olga Radvany and Margo Beke. Our thanks go to Margo and Anthony Beke, Olga and John Radvany, Steven Beke and Elsie Radvany for the fine effort they put forth in preparing the party. Following the luncheon, door prizes were distributed along with a WPA goodie bag filled with candy, cookies, nuts, fruit and items supplied by the Home Office. Everyone received a WPA calendar, and each child received a monetary gift. Our sincere thanks goes to the Home Office for the generous subsidy for our party. President Radvany extended Christmas greetings on behalf of the Board of Directors, National Officers and members. He wished all our members a blessed and joyous Christmas and a happy, healthy new year. For servicing your life insurance and annuity needs, please contact Elsie H.
