House Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Can you believe it will be 2008? I remember when 2000 was something in the very distant future. I hope all your holidays and the new year prove to be happy, healthy and wealthy times for all of you. This has been a pretty rough year for many of you. I hope the future is much brighter. Welcome new members Madison Sue Bufford (thank you, Karen) and James Joseph Rostash (thank you, Jim). I hope to see you at most of our many activities. Thank you for choosing the William Penn Association for your needs. Thank you to all who remember to support the men and women of our armed forces. We continue to collect things at our monthly meetings for them. Many thanks to Elaina Kline for all her hard work on this project. We are doing this in conjunction with Allen Park Mothers of Soldiers. Our thanks also to DHL Airways, a freight carrying service. They are transporting all our donated articles to those who will receive them. I recently received a phone call asking for some specific items, including Break-Free Weapon Spray and pipe cleaners to clean guns. They also want soft toilet paper, hard candy and personal grooming items. Remember there are female soldiers, too. Thank you, again, for all your help. We wish a very happy birthday to two special people, Elizabeth Jones and Lori Jones. Enjoy your day and may you have many more. Please remember in your prayers our deceased members and their families, especially Joanne Croton (sister of Helen Molnár), Lou Deregi, Anne Vitalis, Margaret Rohaly, Suzanne Hall and Sarah Katona. May they rest in peace with the Lord. Thank you to all who donated prizes or bought raffle tickets to help make our 2007 Christmas party a success.
