Chairman Varga/Alternate Director Nominations from the Floor. Convention Chairman Varga asked for nominations from the floor for Alternate Directors. 61. Nominations/Alternate Director. Michael F. Tomcsak nominated Ernest J. Mozer, Jr., for Alternate Director. Barbara A. House nominated Robert M. Jones, Jr. 62. Further Nominations/Alternate Director. Chair­man Varga asked three (3) times if there were any further nominations for Alternate Director. There being none, nominations were closed for Alternate Directors. 63. Nominations for Alternate Director/Closed. MOVED BY ROBERT KOVACH, SECONDED BY ALEXANDER SERA AND THE 36TH GENERAL CONVENTION CLOSED NOMINATIONS FOR ALTERNATE DIRECTOR. 64. E. E. (ALI Var go/ Conducts Memorial Service. Vice Chairman E. E. (Al) Vargo conducted the Memorial Service. The Memorial Service was to commemorate the passing of former Officers, Board of Directors, Auditing Committee members, retired Home Office Employees, former Branch Officers and Coordinators. Music was offered by bagpiper Lt. Michael A. Scott, Pittsburgh Police Department, Emerald Society Pipes and Drums. Rev. Dr. Joseph G. Bodnar performed the memo­rial service. Evelyn B. Bodnar sang for the memorial service accompanied on the piano by Arlene Miller. 65. Chairman Varga/Voting for Alternate Directors. Chairman Varga stated the ballot is prepared for voting for Alternate Directors and gave specific instructions for the manner in which the election of Alternate Directors will be elected. 66. Delegates Voting / Commenced. National V.P./ Secretary Richard W. Toth began calling the delegates by names and table numbers to cast their ballot. 67. Meeting / Recessed for Lunch. Chairman Varga recessed the convention for lunch break. 68. Chairman Varga/Convention Reconvened. Chairman Varga reconvened the 36th General Convention following the lunch break. 69. National President Charles/Chairman of Election /Tellers Committee. President George S. Chairman Varga relinquishes the gavel to Vice Chairman E. E. (Al) Vargo. At this time, the WPA Home Office employees are invited into the Convention gallery. 74. Chairman Varga/Remarks/Future Programs. Vice Chairman E. E. (Al) Vargo introduced Stephen J. Varga for remarks on the future of the William Penn Association. Mr. Varga submitted his report on the future programs to move the Association forward in the ensuing four (4) years from 2007-2011. 75. Report of Chairman Varga / Acknowledged. MOVED BY BARBARA A. HOUSE, SECONDED BY ROGER G. NAGY AND THE 36TH GENERAL CON­VENTION ACKNOWLEDGE AND SUPPORT THE WILLIAM PENN ASSOCIATION'S 2007-2011 BUSI­NESS STRATEGY. 76. Chairman Varga/ Gavel Returned. Vice Chairman E. E. (Al) Vargo returned the gavel to Convention Chair­man Stephen J. Varga. 77. Employees in the National President's Depart­ment / Introduced. President George S. Charles, Jr., introduced all the employees of the William Penn Associa­tion.
