Branching Out with Endre Csornán Fraternal fun in the summertime THERE'S A LOT OF SUMMER left and we hope you will join us at the great fraternal events we're planning over the next several months. 24th Annual Golf Tournament and Scholarship Days The Home Office is ready to host the 24th Annual Golf Tournament and Scholarship Days. We look forward to seeing many WPA members and non-members and their families at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott on Friday, July 20, at the golfers reception and again on Saturday, July 21, at the Quicksilver Golf Club in Midway, Pa. The schedule for the weekend will be similar to that of previous tournaments, with one exception— there will be a barbeque with a cash bar at the golf club immediately following the conclusion of tournament play. We hope you have made your plans to join us. Hungarian Heritage Experience We are also preparing the final details for the WPA's annual Hungarian Heritage Experience to be held Aug. 5 to 11 at Penn Scenic View in Rockwood, Pa. Recently, Steve Charles and I made a second trip there to plant flowers at this historic site. The temperature hit the 90-degree mark, but the heat did not keep us from planting and weeding. Indeed, it was rewarding to see the results of our labor to restore this important cemetery. Much more work needs to be done to complete the plans, but, with God's help and your financial This flower garden is just one step in our plan to restore St. Emery’s Cemetery. Individuals, branches, organizations or churches interested in helping should mail their donations (in the form of a check, please) made payable to the "William Penn Association Foundation." Please note on the check that it is for the St. Emery's Cemetery Fund. 8 William Penn Life, July 2007
