our WPA friends again. On May 8 we held our delegate district meeting to elect delegates to the 36th General Convention. The results were forwarded to the Home Office for certification and will be published in the August issue of the William Penn Life. We look forward to a successful convention in September. It is so important to work together to keep our branches active and to help continue the prosperity of this great organization. In July, we invite members to attend the WPA Golf Tournament. We will have at least one foursome from our branch and would like to see more participation from Dayton. Please contact Michele LaFlame at (937) 278-5970 or Anne Marie Schmidt at (937) 667-1211 for more information. We are also inviting members to attend the annual WPA Picnic-A Great Fraternal Fest on Sept. 15 at Penn Scenic View in Rockwood, Pa. If we have enough interest, we may rent a van to travel there as a group. It is truly a fun event for the whole family, so please consider attending. For any information on branch activities, life insurance and annuities, please contact Michele LaFlame at (937) 278-5970. Branch 800 Altoona, PA by Vincent Frank The branch's May meeting is always a happy one for it is then we honor our 50-year members. This year, we honored two members who have reached that milestone: Stephen G. Kasun of Altoona and Kevin E. Woods of Hollidaysburg, Pa. Both received a certificate and special emblem from the Home Office. A nice lunch took place after the meeting. We held our delegate district election meeting in May during which we elected one delegate to represent our branch's district at the WPA's 36th General Convention to be held in Pittsburgh this September. The results will be published in the August issue of the William Penn Life. On June 14 our country will Branch News celebrate the 230th birthday of our nation's flag. Try to remember and be proud to display Old Glory at home. Happy Father's Day to all fathers on Sunday, June 17. Thank you for your devotion to your families. Branch 8121 _ St. Marys, PA by Mary Lou Schutz Our branch held a regular business meeting May 2 at St. Marys Church annex building. She remains in our prayers. Are your beneficiaries up to date? We can’t stress enough the importance of regularly checking the beneficiaries listed on your life insurance policies. It is the only way to ensure that the people you want to receive the benefits of your life insurance are the ones who will receive it Think about the changes that have occurred in your life since you purchased your life insurance. Getting married, having children, losing a loved one, getting divorced, getting remarried-all these life changes affect your responsibilities. Do the beneficiaries currently listed on your life insurance policies reflect such changes? If you think you need to update the beneficiaries listed on your policies—either primary or secondary beneficiaries—contact your WPA representative. Or, call our Home Office toll-free at I-800-848- 7366. William Penn Life, June 2007 21
