Branching Out with Endre Csornán WPA helps brighten Easter for patients at Children’s Hospital Spreading Easter joy at Children’s Hospital recently were (l-r) Elsie Radvany, Joan Mauerman, Betty Vargo, Donna Varga, Sandy Clement of the hospital’s Child Care Department, Zita Prowse and Marguerite Beke. PITTSBURGH - The spouses of our National Directors made another visit to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in April, following up their visit made during the Christmas holiday season when they presented Christmas gifts and money from the Association. On this visit, an Easter basket with gift cards, along with a check for $550, helped to brighten the Easter season for the children. These gifts were presented to Sandy Clement of the hospital's Child Care Department and were received with the utmost appreciation. Ms. Clement said that the hospital is very thankful for the support extended to it by our Association. We thank the spouses and all who supported this effort. We appreciate your devotion and dedication in remembering those who need to know they are not forgotten. May God continue to bless all of the personnel at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh who give such outstanding service to their young patients. Plans underway for WPA Picnic ROCKWOOD, PA - More than 50 people assembled at Penn Scenic View March 31 to help make plans for the 7th Annual WPA Picnic-A Great Fraternal Fest to be held Saturday, Sept. 15. Several good suggestions were made by the "kitchen helpers" to make this year's picnic the best ever. The Association is also planning to make improvements to the picnic area. This year we will have more golf carts to transport those who have difficulty walking from the parking lot to the picnic area and back. We also hope to have renovations to the driveway near the William C. Kohut Pavillion completed in time for our picnic. Please make your plans now to join us on Sept. 15. Bring your friends, neighbors, fellow church members, children and grandchildren. The organizing committee is also seeking donations of prize baskets for the Chinese auction as well as prizes for the raffle. The proceeds from these two activities will benefit the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Again, we hope to see you at our 7th Annual Picnic at Penn Scenic View. Come and enjoy good food, good music and a good time! THAT’S A QUESTION YOU MAY not have asked yourself very often, if ever. But, it’s one you should ask yourself at least once a year. We can’t stress enough the importance of regularly checking the beneficiaries listed on your life insurance policies. It is the only way to ensure that the people you want to receive the benefits of your life insurance are the ones who will receive it. Think about the changes that have occurred in your life since you purchased your life insurance. Getting married, having children, losing a loved one, getting divorced, getting remarried-all these life changes affect your responsibilities. Do the beneficiaries currently listed on your life insurance policies reflect such changes? If you think you need to update the beneficiaries listed on your policies-either primary or secondary beneficiaries-contact your WPA representative.
