For Starters Fraternal benefit societies provide ‘model’ for Join Hands Day projects WPA salutes FIC’s this month PITTSBURGH ~ The WPA joins America's fraternal benefit societies in honoring those who are, in many respects, the lifeblood of fraternal societies: Fraternal Insurance Counsellors. FIC's are dedicated to maintaining high standards of ethical conduct and work hard to increase their knowledge of fraternal life insurance, develop successful sales methods and render quality service to members and potential members. The WPA proudly salutes those within our Association who have earned this professional designation and thank them for their loyal service: George S. Charles Jr., national president; Debra S. Evans, annuity specialist; Noreen Fritz, sales representative; Andrew J. Girard, sales representative; Donna Griffin, life underwriter; Alan Szabó, sales representative; Michael F. Tomcsak, national director; Richard W. Toth, national vice president-secretary; and E.E. (Al) Vargo, vice chairman of the Board. These Model City projects also involve partnerships with other fraternal benefit societies, as well as other volunteer organizations. Join Hands Day is sponsored by America's fraternal benefit societies. Model City projects are planned for Imperial, Pa.; San Antonio, Texas; Rock Island, 111.; and Milwaukee, Wise. The "Model Cities" program was initiated to ensure that a variety of outstanding projects are held in cities where fraternal benefit societies are headquartered.
