tu P "Our continued objective is to build fraternal programs at the local and national levels that will attract prospective members to our organization." Working and serving together for 120 years by George S. Charles, Jr., FIC On Feb. 21,2006, our Association will celebrate its 120th anniversary. As we celebrate this milestone, we pay special tribute to the dedicated founders of the William Penn Association and all of the past and present officers, directors, auditors, employees, sales representatives and members that devoted so much of their lives in building our Association that is shared by us all today, with much pride and fond memories. Your dedication, loyalty and commitment to our goals are based on our many years of progress generated by thousands of dedicated people who are determined to move forward. Our continued objective is to build fraternal programs at the local and national levels that will attract prospective members to our organization. We also have an obligation to continue to promote leadership skills so as to ensure a bright future for our Association. We must believe that the cornerstone of our existence is firmly rooted in dignity and responsibility. We must recognize talent, ability and loyalty. Our Association has been fortunate in that we have many members of all ages involved in our many programs and activities. I have been associated with WPA since birth and have had the privilege of working for the Association for over 32 years. Without a doubt, it has been a great pleasure and continuing learning experience for me to represent you. I hope you know how much I sincerely appreciate your support and trust. It is inspiring to know that our Association realizes the importance of family and will continue to support the family and family values. On behalf of my wife Dianne and son Steve as a family and members, we salute William Penn Association. Our Association is one of the finest fraternal benefit societies in existence. We can grow and continue to prosper with good leaders and programs. I am very proud to be a leader of the William Penn Association. My goal is to continue to serve you with enthusiasm, intelligence and care, guided by ideals, dedication and love. Although at times some tasks are tough, it is always foremost in my mind that you have placed your trust in me, and I will not let you down. We have an excellent working fraternal team. Each of our officers, directors, auditors and home office employees contributes his or her talents to the ideals of our Association's mission statement: "To provide financial security to our members through quality life insurance and annuity products; and, to support fraternal, ethnic, cultural, charitable, educational, patriotic and religious works." Our National Directors are prepared to meet the many challenges which lie ahead. During the past year our national directors, along with your national officers, have been planning for greater attendance and participation in our fraternal and branch activities. Some of the programs planned this year include our Annual Bowling Tournament (May 6-7) to be held in Pittsburgh, Pa., our Annual Golf Tournament (July 21-22) to be held in Chester, W.Va., our Hungarian Heritage Experience (Aug. 6-12) to be held at Penn Scenic View in Rockwood, Pa., and our Annual Picnic (Sept. 16) to be held at Penn Scenic View. We are continuously working on developing new programs and products for growth. So remember, the next time one of our sales representatives asks to review your insurance, welcome them into your homes. Our sales representatives, along with you, our membership, represent our Association's future. Our Association is a strong, vibrant, growing reality and our future will continue to be strong. We must keep our Association alive making our future generations and members proud to be part of William Penn Association. Let us work together, pray together and serve together. May the future be rewarding for all of us. As we move forward our Association will continue to dedicate ourselves to you. Our fraternal spirit is still glowing like the spirit in the hearts of the founders of our Association more than 120 years ago. |wpl| William Penn Life, February 2006 3
