Have a wonderful winter. Stay healthy. Think spring and bowling. Branch 19 New Brunswick, NJ __ by Evelyn Bodnar Branch 19 held its annual Christmas holiday party on Dec. 11 at the Bayard Street Presbyterian Church. Good food was served and enjoyed by all. Santa Claus had gifts for all the children and took the time to listen to each child's requests for holiday presents. Two clowns did face painting and balloon sculpting. The party was festive and enjoyed by all. All those present were very appreciative of our efforts. After the party, a business meeting was held during which we elected officers for 2006. Those elected were: the Rev. Dr. Joseph Bodnar, president; Ruth Vasvary, vice president; Evelyn Bodnar, secretary-treasurer; and Bert Suldo and Jennifer Orlick, auditors. Branch 28 Youngstown, OH by Kathy Novak Nothing like an old-fashioned month of winter weather to make everyone's thoughts of spring all the more exciting. Congratulations to the William Penn Association on its 120th anniversary. It's such a rewarding feeling to be a part of such a strong and thriving organization. While giving out honors, we'd like to extend warm best wishes to Richard Toth as he begins his term as president of the Fraternal Societies of Greater Pittsburgh. The annual commemoration program for the 1848 War of Independence will be held on Sunday, March 12, at the Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., at 2:30 p.m. This event will be hosted by the Youngstown American Hungarian Federation. The program will include American and Hungarian guest speakers, traditional music, songs and several dances performed by the newly-formed Youngstown Hungarian dance group. Sincere condolences to those having recently lost a loved one, especially to the Lew Molnár family of Clifton, N.J., on the loss of Helen Ann. May she rest in peace.
