Branch News The guests at Branch 28’s family Christmas party were treated to some traditional Hungarian music played on that most Hungarian of instruments, the cimbalom. Playing the cimbalom was Branch 28 member Andrew Check II (above right), age 12. Pictured with the talented young musician is WPA sales representative Alan Szabó. Congratulations to branch member Walter Sanker on his 80th birthday this month. He is enjoying his retirement and is thankful for his good health. I enjoyed reminiscing with Walter about his father's engineering days on the railroad and how he notified his family when returning home by one long and two short sounds of the whistle. For your life insurance and annuity needs, please call Robert Jones at 814-942-2661. He is ready to help you. Branch 8114 Clarion, PA by Noreen Fritz Finally, daylight savings time is here. Hooray! Our long winter is finally over. Welcome to our newest members, Tanner and Ashley Steiner, the grandchildren of Edward and Marion Steiner. Branch 8114 sends loving thoughts and our deepest sympathy to Florabell Niederriter and her family on the sudden loss of Florabell's husband, John Niederriter. We wish you peace and love during this difficult time. Branch members celebrating birthdays this month include: Erin Steiner, Emily Steiner, Stanley Bauer, Michael Dale, Albert Fiscus, Ann Hartle, Kasey Martin, Eugene Seitz, Seth Justice, Mary Jane Gatesman, Bradley Best, Gerry Ochs, Ruth Huefner, Milton McElravy, Annette Sunderland, Frank Schill, Maria Pierucci, Samuel Schmader, Ian Rice, Evelyn Seitz, Judith McDevitt and branch officer Bob Donahue. When you huff and puff and blow out all your candles, I'm hoping all your wishes come true. Happy birthday! Remember: April 15 is tax day. Why not do yourself a favor this year by enrolling in a WPA tax-deferred annuity? It combines a high interest rate and tax-deferral. There is nothing like it. Branch meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church meeting room. We would love to see you at our next meeting. If you have news to share with your fellow members, or if you have questions about life insurance, annuities, IRA's or pension plans, you may call me at anytime at 412- 821-1837. Or, write to me at P.O. Box 15060, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. My email address is noreenbunny.fritz® verizon.net. THAT’S A QUESTION YOU MAY not have asked yourself very often, if ever. But, it’s one you should ask yourself at least once a year. We can’t stress enough the importance of regularly checking the beneficiaries listed on your life insurance policies. It is the only way to ensure that the people you want to receive the benefits of your life insurance are the ones who will receive it. Think about the changes that have occurred in your life since you purchased your life insurance. Getting married, having children, losing a loved one, getting divorced, getting remarried—all these life changes affect your responsibilities. Do the beneficiaries currently listed on your life insurance policies reflect such changes? If you think you need to update the beneficiaries listed on your policies-either primary or secondary beneficiaries—contact your WPA representative. Or, call our Home Office toll-free at 1-800-848-7366. 16 William Penn Life, April 2005
