Branch News Branch 14 _ Cleveland, OH by Dawn D. Ward Many Branch 14 members enjoyed the 22nd Annual Golf Tournament at Mountaineer Resort and Blackmoor Golf Club. As usual, William Penn put on a first-class affair, the weather cooperated, and a good time was had by all. Five-year-old Branch 14 member Maria Martinis was chosen by a panel of five judges as "Little Miss Brecksville" at the annual Brecksville Home Days. We welcome all Branch 14 members to assist in planning fall activities. Branch 18 Lincoln Park, MI by Barbara A. House I am writing this in very sunny Florida. Tommy, my mom and I came down to oversee 2004 hurricane repairs. With any luck, we will get them done just in time for the 2005 season. The car port is supposed to be done next Thursday, the Florida room I hope will be done when we come back in January. Workers are leaving in droves. They tell me the work is just too overwhelming. One roofer gave back 400 deposits. He said he had had enough. Please pray for all the people who have suffered from all these natural disasters. Thank you, Steve Varga, for sponsoring Tom House and friends at the wonderful University of Michigan golf outing. The proceeds went to help finance the university's transplant unit. A great time was had by all. Branch 18 again had a very successful picnic. God blessed us with a beautiful day. He also blessed us with wonderful members and hard working officers. I must thank those who went above and beyond the call: Emma Poliska; Ernie and Joanne Mayoros; Annie and Steve Nagy; Kay Momtsios; Amy Polakowski; AI, Olga and Mike Wansa; Helen Molnár; Doug and Carol Truesdell; Elsie and Bob Kantor; Rose P. Antal; Arpad and Rose Antal; Vicky Truesdell; Grace and Mary Balaythy and Harry (who fried up fánk, which was a surprise to me); Tom House; Karen Bufford; Ursula and Tamas Markovits; and, last but not least, Endre Csornán who got us the szalonna which traveled from Pennsylvania to Ohio, back to William Penn Life, September 2005 15
