Branch News Branch 14 ^ Cleveland, OH by Dawn D. Ward Branch 14 scholarship recipients continue to excel! Paula Rosenberg graduated May 7 from Aquinas College, Grand Rapids, Mich., with a dual major in communications and English. Paula received the St. Dominic Ministry Award for her work with campus ministry/service learning throughout her four years at college. Paula read the Prayers of the Faithful at the baccalaureate Mass held at St. Robert of Newminster church. Her sister, Sarah Rosenberg, was named to the dean's list at Seton Hill University, Greensburg, Pa., for the spring semester. Sarah went to Hartford, Conn., over spring break with fellow SHU students to work with Habitat for Humanity. The students installed drywall, and Sarah found it to be a very rewarding experience. She also serves as a Eucharistic minister at liturgies held on campus. Sarah and Paula are the daughters of Branch 14 member Marie Rosenberg and the late Art Rosenberg. Their late grandmother was Branch 14 member Agnes Boda. Welcome to new members Ann Dungan, Larry Dungan, Rebecca Hollo. Frances Pickett, Hannah Rohrer, and Blaise Rohrer. Please refer any prospective new members to Jeff Ward at 440-838-1200. Help our branch grow and earn Recommender bucks in the process! Anyone interested in taking a bus to the 5th Annual WPA Picnic-A Great Fraternal Fest on Sept. 10 at Penn Scenic View, contact Violet Sarosi at 440-248-9012. The bus will leave from the parking lot of the First Hungarian Reformed Church, Walton Hills, early Saturday morning and will return that evening. The next branch meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 7:30 p.m., at the First Hungarian Reformed Church, 14530 Alexander Road, Walton Hills. All branch 14 adult members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Branch 18 Lincoln Park, MI by Barbara A. House Whew! It's all done. But wasn't it fun? We at Branch 18 received many compliments on a wonderful bowling tournament held over the Memorial Day weekend. The most wonderful part was being with all of you. Very special thanks to all of you that sponsored a lane, donated a Chinese auction basket, donated a door prize, or, most importantly, made a donation to our Scholarship Foundation. The weekend raised more than $17,500. I must thank our hard working kitchen crew that provided you with kolbász sandwiches: Rose P. Antal, Art Antal, Rose Wickers, Louise Vespremi, Eleanor Kender, Dennis and Kathy Chobody, Ernie and Joanne Mayoros and Elaina and Dennis Kline. It takes a lot of work to be a super branch, but, as always, it is your branch. You have to support events and volunteer as often as you can to keep things alive. This is my definition of "Fraternally Yours." Wasn't "my" Michael Oberg wonderful? Those of you that missed his presentation on fratemalism will never know how wonderful it was. Truly another example of "Fraternally Yours." Way to go, Five Friends. The ladies came in first (again) and the men came in third. We will keep that name forever. Congratulations. Thanks, Bela, for all the pictures.
