Branching Out with Endre Csornán Fraternalism at its Best WPA members participate in Join Hands Day project The William Penn Association and the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America joined forces on Saturday, May 7, Join Hands Day, to beautify the Hungarian Reformed Church's property in Springdale, Pa. The group of 11 people met early in the morning, with some volunteers traveling more than 50 miles to help out. Everyone brought their own tools, such as lawn mowers, wood chippers, trimmers, hedge shears and rakes. Without delay, the group began the work of cutting trees, trimming shrubs, raking leaves and pulling weeds. At noon, we enjoyed a delicious lunch of "cholesterol-free" bacon, ham, kolbász, homemade bread and pizza. By mid-afternoon, the project was complete. We were all tired. However, everyone shared a good feeling. It was rewarding to see members young and old from both societies working together and sharing fellowship. Egységben az erő!
