Szarka Rövidesen eljön a tavasz. (Shortly spring will come.) What a winter we have been experiencing here in our area-snow, sleet, ice, freezing rain, flooding. You name it, we've had it...along with the sore throats, colds, sneezing and coughing that goes with this kind of weather. We hope it will taper off. We're looking forward to some good, warmer weather. My husband and I will be going to Puerto Vallarto, Mexico, on March 15 (not soon enough) to soak in some sunshine. The annual Március 15 Ünnepély (March 15 Commemoration) will be held on Sunday, March 14, at 3:00 p.m. at the McKeesport Hungarian Social Club, 3004 Walnut St., McKeesport. A social will follow the program. All are welcome to come, meet old friends and make new friends. Get well wishes are being extended to Steve Balogh, Mike Benedict, Steve Jordan, Jim Sheedy and Ernie Zsemko. We wish all of you speedy and successful recoveries. You are in our prayers. Congratulations to Mike Benedict who recently became a great-grandfather again. His new great-grandson lives in Ohio. We wish everyone an abundance of health and happiness. I was just notified that Dr. Victor Molnár is in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-McKeesport. He has some problems that have to be taken care of. We hope everything goes well. Simon Jr. Mr. Simon is receiving the Leechburg Hall of Fame Award on March 7 at the Gilpin Fire Hall in Leechburg, PA. This well-deserved honor is a result of Mr. Simon's long-standing commitment and devotion to his community, his accomplishments in volunteerism and activity in many worthy organizations. Please read "Spotlight" on Page 2 of this publication for further details. Your fellow Branch 296 members are proud of you, Mr. Simon, and applaud you as you are awarded this noble honor.
